I have worked with sustainability and circular economy through project development, advisory and research for more than 15 years and have experiences from private, public, non-profit sectors and academia in Denmark, the USA, and Estonia. I am a systems thinker and believe that collaborative innovation and cross-sectoral collaboration are central in transitioning our linear economy to circular. I am educated in International Business Economics at Aalborg University, in Social Entrepreneurship at Roskilde University, and I hold an industrial Ph.D. Degree in Social Sciences from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) in circular business model innovation within the fashion and textile industry. I have developed circularity at BESTSELLER, initiated several circular textile value chain collaboration projects and advise various companies and organizations in circular economy and sustainable business development. I am affiliated lecturer at CBS and EBS and I speak frequently at international events and conferences on circular economy and sustainability.

For more than ten years I have been working with waste management in a circular economic context. I have been doing qualitative and quantitative data collection, data analysis, and policy recommendations with a view to help decision-makers create better solutions for a more circular society. I have served on numerous projects for public actors such as the City of Copenhagen, the Danish EPA, and the Nordic Council of Ministers as well as for a range of private companies. For years I have worked on disseminating knowledge within the field by doing presentations, writing articles and news stories, and in more general, by providing advice to both public and private clients who need expertise within the field. I am enthusiastic about creating and facilitating collaborations as was e.g., the case when I led a national network for textile actors and as has been the case of the ReYarn project. In my work, I strive to gather, connect and encourage every part of the value chain with a view to helping new circular collaborations and partnerships flourish.
